Liz Forgan responds to the dispute

Thank you for your email expressing your dismay at changes at the Manchester Evening News.  I will make sure that members of the Scott Trust are fully briefed both on the changes and the reaction to them.

I don’t need to tell you that our industry is facing probably the most radical period of change in generations and all of us, divisional management, GMG Board and the Trust have to exercise their responsibilities in that light.  This is not going to be easy for anybody.  The Group’s ownership by the Scott Trust does not protect us from the realities of the digital age but it informs the manner in which we approach them.
